Floral Festival

Monsoon ends its hide and seek
Ushering in Autumn to festive streak
The barren plain breaking its womb
Blooming with marigold Celosia, Senna
Chrysanthemum, lotus, cucurbita
Looming cucumis, sativus, katla
Many more nameless in vibrant colour
Making every courtyard a floral splendour
In shapes of solemn temple tower
Grateful offering to Nature - the Life Giver
Bathukamma - the saviour Goddess
Comes alive to bless all in Navaratri.

(Bathukamma - named after the patron goddess of womanhood - Mahagauri is an annual Floral Festival in Telengana.)
