Laudato Si'

  Pope Francis will stubbornly appear robed
in medieval garb, deliver his plan
Laudato Si’ for saving planet earth -
‘our common home’ to include every man.

In flight from predicted catastrophe
like beasts the forest fire, differences
annulled, quite instinctively the pope he
his flock extends in global references.

It is no longer the church as a city
of God he witnesses to, but the world
become his domain, its morality
determined in the values of survival.

What matters most is the planet be saved,
the wake-up call that rumbles piety;
the church subsumed under the world today,
the pope’s voice a worldly priority.
