Some wild flowers
colours unknown
fragrance unknown
names unknown,
but my eyes lead me there
again and again to see

The whole of the night sky
I can hardly see,
but at a distant horizon
I wait for a passing star
to make a small wish

A small wish I keep in mind
to ask her, "Does the smile
that starts on your tender mouth
travel all the way to reach my heart’s coast
where my little boat waits to take us
to a faraway land of love?"

Comment Thank you, Bijay babu. Yes, it is all creation, it is all flowers, it is all poetry and its is all love. Your appreciation is ever inspiring.

Comment Thank you, Arpana for a lovely spring setting to load and unload the ship of love. Hats off to your choice of the picture.

Comment All for love and besides it there is nothing in the world. Wild flowers, wakeful nights, glow worms glimmering, all reminiscent of love. A haiku not, a long poem.
