  Much dismayed
she felt betrayed
her chosen one
the star of her eyes
was far...too far
for her silent cries
while 'the others'...her own
like weeds who had grown
forever denied...the mother's love
their sole birthright
had learnt to cherish
each other's light
It wasn't fair
It wasn't just right
Mere candlelights
they had failed her...
In failing to feel
A lifelong plight
of her fading sight
beseeching.....a shining star
that was far...too far...
