A Real Yogi

  It's almost like
my mentor peer
as year after year
with each of its phases
it truly amazes
For somewhile
with the skies contesting
a haven for all
nesting and resting
All lush green and dense
With an equal elan
Detachment embrace
shedding off all
stand bare and tall
as in deep penance
Till showered with grace
It blooms ablaze
setting the skies afire
donning saffron attire
a marvel to admire
Each day I bow
to a real yogi - I know
the Palash tree
across my window...
