Trust if You Want to Be Trusted

  Trust is a light
in engulfing darkness
a floating straw
to swim across the sea with
a thread of heart
immersed
in love and mutual respect
a strong bond
with unflinching faith
in the pool of heart
so deep!

Breach of trust!
Mistrust soars higher
in invisible air

turning from bad
to worse

leading one
to quagmire of feelings
stubbornly stagnant
with negativity
frustrations and neurosis,
sheer despondency;
severing all the ties
they butcher the intimacy
with silent swords
of sweet bitchy words
truth-coated
with big and gross lies.

One has to trust
to be another's trustworthy!
