Theme: Leaving

Just Because He Has Left

Just because he has left
Can his memories be forgotten?
I am full of his remembrance
And it always sways my mind
Here even on each speck of dust
He has left his touch
I wait and wait for his return
And I keep all my doors wide open
When he came to this home
It was full of flower and fun
No shadow was there
Everything shone
At break of day I find he is absent
But I remember him always
And his image fills my entire world
To ask me to forget him is futile.

Comment Once I talked about your literary activity and interest just casually with my senior literary friend Pronab Kumar Majumder a retired special secretary who edits Bridge-in-Making from Calcutta, Lake Town.

Comment Memory, reflection, remembrance,
Memento, souvenir,
Diary, brochure of life,
Days pass out,
But images remain.
