She was being dragged through the floor.
Her beautiful face was covered with sadness.
Her broken bangles were scattered on the floor.
The colours faded in her life.
Her life was wrapped in white.
Through her tear-filled eyes
She tried to remember the colours,
once she had been through...

The colourful lights flashed around her.
Her red bridal dress glowed as her face.
Her hands were covered with red bangles.
Her smile touched her eyes.
He filled her forehead with red vermilion.
Her life's desires had been fulfilled.
She walked right into his house
Leaving red footprints on the way.

She comes back from the past.
She looks at his framed face,
a tear trickles down her cheeks.
She is wrapped in white saree.
Red was her favourite colour,
but the society forced her to accept white.
Her life now depicts her broken red bangles.
