Wide-eyed, slender waist, You race early in life through hills, Then swell with matronly concern In the Doab plains. In the Sunderbans You spread out into a delta Lose your limpidity and Merge with the great ocean. You teach me to be a warrior, You teach me to be delightful, You teach me to be kindhearted, You teach me to be self-effacing.
