I don’t know when I fell asleep
When I woke from that nap
And I found
Someone has left a basket near my feet
It is full of oranges
I began to guess
Who it was
One by one
Many I remembered
But couldn’t be specific
So in one unknown name mixed many
And made the present
Significant indeed!

Transcreation of poem 17 from the collection Rogsajyay by Rabindranath Tagore.
