In this deep dark night, in my lonely room
With an empty hand if you come
Do you think I shall be afraid?
No, no my friend
For I know I can hold your hand for assurance.

Along the path where coming and going go on
I spent my days somehow
Now the time has come
When I feel I should surrender myself to you
Darkness may cover me from all around
Yet my heart will always feel your touch
Swinging always in a swaying life
I had forgotten myself
From both life and death

Now I know you will draw me near.
