Those flowers
That danced yesterday
To the rhythm
Of blowing winds
Amidst
Rustling and Cheering
Of leaves
Lie now
Lifeless
In dust.

Fresh air
Fills my lungs.
Life still holds me
Close
In your arms.
I listen to the drums
Of my beating heart,
Which too
In mellowing whisper
Will die down
In silence
One day.

Spilling smiles
I may walk today
Few extra miles.
