  My being human
today weighs too heavy
on me
I feel ashamed
belonging to sapiens
my mind ceases
my heart sinks
the voices often
clamouring to be
the holiest resort
to such a cruel act
is beyond my ken.

How thirsty are
they for human blood?
How far will they drag on
old hatred?
Can there not be any
excuse to love thy neighbour?

Feel sorry to call
them humans and compatriots
don't try and douse fire by fire
it will flare even worse

Mind!
Hate begets hate
and love, love
try as you might
to plant your dream
it won't grow up
for our war for peace
is endless, it is not
for you to sum up.
