A Mockingbird

Despite being alone,
It doesn’t moan
But sings a song
All daylong—
A song so sweet,
A musical treat,
Making moments of time
Moments sublime
For folks who’re weary,
Who find it cheery,
And stop to rejoice,
Marvel at its voice,
Savor its singing,
The joy it’s bringing.
