To commemorate the dead,
revive the deed accommodated now
in every moment, every detail, an
emblem, the blood-red poppy,
at its heart; and in their thousands, the lives
they symbolise storming the brief day
of the living generation:
tell me, how does death,
even of the fallen dead, become alive
among us, to outstay the living?
