What Love Is and What Love Isn't

Love is not a ditch, a gutter
Of filth, of despair,
Of shatters or frustrations
Rejection or dejection
Nor is it a trap
For a heart in love to fall into...

Heart is not a dirty linen
To be (mis)used and thrown
Like an object of 'use and throw'.
But yes, it can be used
To purge one of one’s sins
Or sinful intentions
In the flow of love and romance...

Love is an ocean of humanity,
Procreation and creativity
Of divine eternity
Ever flowing in humane heart
Since time immemorial...

Love is a surge of feeling
Waves of joy and bliss
Floating with piety and peace
Smooth life ashore
With its sonorous sounds
An oasis of serenity
Beyond the ebbs and the tides
Or upheavals in life...
