  Night chills bring me closer
and so we walk the isles side by
side searching new masks
My little one and I

On this ? this Jack O? Lantern
holiday

Hands that move,
Skeletons that jingle, ghosts
that run on lines

Wigs and brooms, capes
and pointed teeth ? guns
and camouflage

And for the sweet, Cowboys
and Cinderella?s

But it wasn?t here
I found my shoes ? but in a little shop
caught up in a tornado of church bazaars
and cameo pins

Where Victorian ghosts whisper
And WWII is caught in waves ?
A bunker beneath a lantern

It?s there ? Cape May where I found
my gypsy shoes which I?ll wear

for the goblins that day ?
the day we?re putting on our red lights.
