Staircase of Ripples

A pebble jumped
in a lustrous lake;
Onto
Staircase of Ripples

at Ripple one...

with skinned knees
games at twilight
Cuts-on-each,
grain, grit, gravel
tell volumes of their travel,
being shoved to
bigger dream-city,
onsite opportunity

at Ripple two.....

Love smiled at it
kissed dusty skin
heard the unheard
said the unsaid
fingers clasped
warmth elapsed

at Ripple three....

King of abundance
hid it in his arms
told wise words
stirred in stories
existed, no worries

at Lakeside....

Ah! This quietude!
no dance with the kins;
betrayal billows loud;
Dad, sleeps in the shroud

that pebble in disguise,
"I", stand still
Opposite,
Mirror of Erised!
