The Joker Prays

It is prayer time,
Just after dusk.
Some questions very personal,
To himself he has to ask.

No party with his friends,
And no dirty jokes.
No roaming around,
With all the smart folks.

His day is for the crowd,
But just after dusk,
He ceases to be a joker,
He removes his funny mask.

He prays in his room,
To get rid of stress.
It’s not just only blessings,
It’s his resting place.

The joker can cry now,
As the sun goes down.
Before his own God,
He won’t act like a clown.
