Expectations...
A piece of paper
Goes high up
Riding on a piece of stone
Soon finds a way
to the ground
Either gets carried
By stone
To the end
hits hard on earth,
Torn
Slit
Tattered
Or left halfway
To the will of wind;
The wind of fate...
Floating
Dangling
Knowing nothing
Where it is heading
Smeared
Smudged
Finds itself
in a pit
Of darkness.

It would still not
be buried
Another stone somewhere
would take it
For another flight.
