Little did I know

I’d see a white dove;

Little did I know

I’d fall in love

With eyes radiating mirth,

With a face so glowing,

That I’d salvage my birth

With joy she’s bestowing.

Little did I know

Love would come blessing;

Little did I know

She would be caressing

My moments of time

With her laughter,

Making my life sublime—

Promising bliss hereafter.

Little did I know

What life had in store;

Little did I know

So high I would soar,

Flying in the air

Holding her hand

And, seeking thru prayer,

The promised land.
