I Do Not Deserve

I do not deserve

the gifts

that you

bestow upon me

with unwitting ease

by your presence,

energy, confidence

I have led

a sinful reality,

have only recently

come to understand

the give and take

of life

Have repented, prayed

and now bask

in all the joys

that you bring

to the table

while you trudge on

satisfied with your world.
