I Am Not Real

Would you please not look at me?

I'm not really here you know

Because this person you think you see;

Is but a shadow of memories known.

It's true I once existed

And walked the roads of life

Searching for love uncorrupted;

My bastion against all strife.

But when I found the one I sought

Fate's hand dealt me another blow

This girl, my soulmate so I thought;

Was just another shadow.
