Is it necessary to tie you

To my love?

What if it is distant?

I remember,

How willing to hold

I crushed a mesmerizing butterfly

In my hands,

How my favorite Veiltail goldfish

Turned lifeless,

Floated in a water tank.

How the leaves fall off

In an unwary wind;

An inadvertent moment

Makes one ruthless.

My love,

Even if you love me

Stay free and fly.

I fear

My indiscreet fingers,

My incautious steps,

My carefree boundless mind

My moments of eclipse

If they drop a shadow on you

And cover your sky

Neither would I be the way I am

Nor I could see you die.
