Togetherness

It was just the other day
if not yesterday
when we got married
forty-five* years ago

I still remember
that blessed day
when we first met
before the knot was tied

A desire arose, then,
to discover togetherness
that allows us to explore
every day, even today

100 years - it is the scale we use;
but what happens at 300 years?
Anniversaries are markers for forever.

Relationships cannot be given a name when within the life, they become timeless.
It all depends on how you look at it. Age becomes meaningless when love surmounts.
