Mother's Voice

Bliss runs through me
to hear your voice,
through a thousand thunders,
comes the rainbow
in my heart's sky!

In a mother's tongue,
you speak to me
words of love.
Both silence and song
have found peace
inside my soul!

No longer, it was unheard
though it was never unseen
to the eyes of my heart!

Yesterday's words meet
the music full of melodies.
Today, the song will soothe
all the worries for a while!

The thought of separation
from you sometimes scares me,
like the nightmares
of my childhood dreams!

Please do not go to sleep now -
for the Moon and the stars
will sing to you,
in the night of tomorrow
where a child will be sleeping
in a mother's arms with
all the tenderness of the world!

PS : Dedicated this poem to my mom Antonia Marina Tsitsi, a woman I met around 7 years ago on Facebook and shared mother and daughter's relation. We are not biologically related but connected by our heart and soul!
