Strangers

We met like ships

Passing in the dark,

But when next we meet

Let’s not be strangers

But smile with renewed vigour -

Let’s recall all our thoughts

And sure, we’ll find

Some surer, commoner chord -

Let them echo

Let them reverberate

For joys and sorrows

Are always there to share.
