Is this Love?

In your absence,
Memory torments,
Everywhere I turn
Reminds me of you.

The singing birds,
The sweet scent,
The red rose,
Child's laughter.

In my mind
I see your face,
In my heartbeat
I hear your voice.

I've composed many poems for you,
Rehearsed them,
Day and night
Until word perfect.

In your presence
Words fail me,
Like a teenager
I am a bundle of nerves,
All I can do is turn away,
Is this love?
