City, Now A Neo-Village

I hear the bird songs
after a decade or even more,

the city, under the lockdown, gets woken up
by the friends from the skies, delight the human ears
with the divine songs, the sounds, musical, natural
in the quiet;
the streets remain largely devoid of poison-spewing monsters

the trees sway and dance, their whispers amplified
and listened, in a lonely high-rise, in Malad.
The air, sky, clean.
Citizens---inside cages.
Animals, out in the open.
My city is a new resort,
our neo-village home!
