A Woman

A woman! So calm and true
A beauty unsurpassed
This is the Lord’s view-
Oh, doe-eyed beauty
Why do you disappear so soon?
Every question I have to ask
Remains uncertain
Hanging on my lips
But as my eyes catch sight of you
I become so numb
Words from my lips
Do not come
And all that comes before me
Is the blushing of your cheeks,
Your darkened eyes
Drowning me in their mist.
Your tender lips
A charming smile release
And all my words
Get slaughtered within me,
And not even a word
Does erupt, from my thirsty lips
For I can only drink in the sight
With hungry eyes
That none can see.
