Not All Ends

As I look at the mirror
Push myself up at the crest,
Slip down along the wave
Into the darkness
Screaming....

My imperfection,
My failed existence,
My infertile tree,
Bare body
Searching to blossom again
Crying in pain,
Still could not be thrown into the grave.

You know why?
My kind mirror knows the secret lamp
To light me up again
For plying the paddle
That a lonely sailor had forgotten
That he ever had,
Broken in endless battles.
