The Flag

When I stood under the Indian flag,
Scenes of the freedom movement
Flashed through my mind....
With nationalists, patriots, martyrs, fighters
And I bowed my head in respect to them
With a handful of flower petals and a lit candle,
My homage to them, shraddhanjali.
