  When lamps drowned the lights,
A lustrous darkness emerged,
Arena transcended the act,
Play rested the performers,
An eloquent silence filled the void,
Did the echoes of music fall asleep?

When trails bifurcated, pilgrims departed,
And caravans dispersed,
Hesitating and vacillating, footprints,
Were left all alone to seek shelter,
Among receding echoes, fading hymns,
Did the path also halt there?

Whom shall I ask, O Breeze!
When the hermits departed,
The tree had just stood tall and silent,
Among the lonely blades of grass,
Deserted by the dewdrops,
Watching the pensive roaming clouds.

Whom shall you seek out, O Poet!
When aroma and the rainbow wafted away,
Dejected shafts of light and a forlorn sky,
Left wandering, gazing in wilderness,
Found only their unanswered questions,
Reflected in the eyes of horizon.

Whom shall the oasis expect, O Sun!
When the mirage went into hiding,
Wandering dunes lost their way,
Undulating sands and flickering stars,
Huddled together to escape the void,
Did the traveler reach his destination?

Does the path ever halt?
When the trails bifurcate,
Caravans disperse and pilgrims depart,
Does the journey ever pause?
Whom shall I ask, O Poet!
