Gone with the Wind

I met a school friend after
Several decades of gap
The traces of his young age
Made me identify him
He too recalled when I reminded

We spoke about our school
Our teachers and some other
Classmates and friends
Some he remembered, I forgot
And a few I remembered, he forgot

I recall we were quite close in school
But, time and age changed many things
We parted exchanging phone numbers

But neither I called till now nor he called
Not disappointment or dissatisfaction
The matters those bonded us at that time
Have lost their values now and have
Gone with the Wind
