A Funeral Song

Oh! She is weeping

Oh! She is suffering

Oh! She is dying

Oh! She is not healing

Oh! My mother earth is dying!

Oh! Death has arrived.

Death bed is ready.

The grave is dug.

The coffin is ready.

The wreaths are waiting

To place on her and

Send her to eternity.

Oh! My dear children,

She cried in pain

And asked,

"Why are you burying me?"

Why? Why? Why?"

She asked for humanity

She wished to be loved

She wanted to be caressed

She needed to be protected.

But still no one lent an ear

She pleaded to cure her,

To help her, not to harass her

And finally not to kill her!!

But all went in vain...

Those mindless humans

Dug the grave,

Placed her,

Singing a funeral song.
