The pianist runs her fingers along the keys
Her music unseen, unfelt by all
But our two souls

The small lantern in the corner
Glows warmly, fondly, as it casts
Its light upon us, like the moon

Bright are the eyes
That I stare into
Brighter still, in the darkness of the night

Our hands are clasped together
As we move to the melody
Composed by our hearts

I know that I am temporary to you
A butterfly resting, for a second
On the petals of your flower
A short-lived, passing rain shower

Yet still
As we dance together
To a rhythm concealed
By the blushing silence,
All I can think of is love,
joy and life with you...
