Existence

A kingfisher swoops on a fish
That was feeling free
To rollick in pond water
Lucent in sunlight

Everything evanescent
Even if frail
Charming in sunrays
Hides the hollow
In darkness beneath
The rarefied stratum of existence

Water, calm now
In somnolent breeze.
Water of life
Creates its own circle
Amid the visible circles
Around our physical existence.
