Theme: Hope

Sky

by Rupashri Chatterjee
With a heavy sigh, too exhausted to cry
He would lie upon the grass, wishing to die

He would watch as the sky brought rain in reply
Preventing his hopes from running dry

In his shock and surprise, he would ask why
And the sky would reply:
“You may not have wings, but I want you to fly.”
