Blazing hot,

Scorching sun of Chaitra

When the earth parches, cracks and dries

With fissures to be seen,

The hot loo blows,

Days seem to be longer

And never-ending

And the sunlight falling directly,

We feel restless,

Wanting to quench thirst

With cool water,

Waiting for the rains to come.
