Rainbow Child

  Children riding rainbow's bend
A pot of gold awaits to lend
Birds of laughter follow them
Spreading wings, remembering
treasure they could never spend
Flying over land of dreams
Tiny voices sing to me
Paper flowers whispering
At once, a fleeting memory
Echoed colors paint the sky
with moonbeams and shadows high,
Calling back the Rainbow child
embraces night but never dies
She's waiting for the clouds to cry.
