  Blanketing of snow
footprints of a doe
clouds dark and gray
a road that fades away

Deep in the mountains
campfire smoldering
I pick up
my belongings
march down a path
of glory

It's a celebration now
life of kindness
never seen
Once had a true love
It washed out with
the rain...

Thinking with
my heart
that is what's
left to see
No other challenge
is greater
than the mountain air
I breathe.
