Promise!
That you will walk with me,
Even when the tide is out,
That you will answer my fervent call,
The moment your name I shout.

Promise!
That you will hold my hand,
When I grow old and frail,
Reminiscing about the golden times,
Together, when we had set sail!

Promise!
That you will wipe my tears
With your kind and gentle touch,
When I falter, you will pick me up,
And always love me as much.

Promise!
That you will care for me,
Even in troubled times,
Whisper into my ears and say,
"Don't worry, all will be fine".

Promise!
That you will always be there
In darkness or despair,
Giving me your shoulder to cry upon,
And my grieving heart repair.

Promise!
That you will share all with me,
Hiding nothing, never,
And with every breath I draw,
I Promise to love you for ever!
