My Mother-in-Law Surprised Me

I got married while still in college

Dreaded the very word “Mother-in-Law”

Expecting her to be nothing else

But a proverbial ogress breathing down my neck

But to my pleasant surprise, she took me into her fold

From day one, showering me with affection till her last day.
