Out from a residential complex carrying
Yoga mats in their hands after attending
The yoga class. It is said that yoga helps in relieving
One’s tension and mind become calm. Their body language is showing
It does not affect them. Then they go near the vendor who is selling
Coconut water. After that, I see them getting
Into their vehicles without wishing or conversing
Among themselves when the vehicles start moving.
A few metres away, I see a fish cart in the parking
Place near the commercial complex. Abraham is sitting
In his cart. Reading the bible loudly constitutes his morning
Prayers. Later, he has food in the cart where he is living.
After he completes his day’s work, I see him wearing
A spotless shirt and pant which gives the impression he’s relaxing
On a comfortable sofa in a well-furnished drawing
Room to read Tamil newspaper while listening
To music from a tiny radio. By observing
Him, I felt his life is worth emulating
As only riches do not make one happy. |
