Enchanting Descent

What enticed yesterday evening
fades slowly from memory garden
Endearing smiles do not carry amulets
that mesmerize moments eternally.

Drifting clouds acquire morphed shapes
as gentle breeze turns into a gale
droplets that looked dearer descend
furiously as a torrential downpour.

Sun-scorched earth soaks with a shudder
parched lands lap up every rolling pearl 
bone-dry lakes rejoice like kids in rain
life finds new drapes to cover in the shower.
