You gave it birth 

But wonder how on Earth 

The words came to you 

After a prolonged dearth.

A poem brand new, 

Carefully you review 

It again and again 

Till it rings true. 

Once hidden in your brain, 

With you it won't remain—

With the world you'll share 

What words can attain. 

Now your poem will dare 

To live without fanfare 

In a publication somewhere 

And cheer hearts everywhere.
