An Angel Like You

An angel like you 

God sent to Earth 

To renew mirth

And show what love can do.

You played your role 

Wearing a smile, 

Spreading joy for a while 

Oozing from your soul. 

Limited was your time 

But you left behind 

Memories that I find 

Are soul-stirring and sublime. 

You left the mortal scene 

Fifty years back today 

And to God I pray 

To keep you serene, 

To keep an eye on you, 

To keep you under His care:
