Writing

At a dentist’s clinic, while I was waiting

For my turn to consult the dentist, I was writing

A poem in a notebook. A little girl sitting

On a sofa, came near me and started looking

At my writing. To tease her, I said I was doing

Homework as I'm a student in a school near where I'm residing.

Her body language indicated my statement was not convincing. 

But she complimented my good handwriting while talking

To her mother, and said that on her next visit to the dentist,

She would also bring a notebook to practise her drawing.
