Life

Having faced
several failures in life
that drove me
towards thoughts of ending it,

I wandered
in search of Truth—
the meaning of life itself—
away from the noise,

until Life itself
called me back.
It taught me—

the world
is not to be escaped,
but encountered;

desire
not avoided,
but understood;

the ego
not decorated,
but dissolved.

Freedom is not
leaving life—

it is remaining
in its midst
without becoming
its prisoner.

Perhaps liberation
is simply this:

to live fully,
to hold lightly,

and when the time comes,

to leave
without having
anything to leave.
