Nandi, waiting patiently outside Shiva’s temple
for eons, gave a cursory glance at the Wanderer— a hint of invitation.
The Wanderer stopped and rested beside Nandi.
One has wandered everywhere. The other has gone nowhere. Both meet in silence.
Finally, the Wanderer asked a few questions from his long list:
“Does Bhole Baba not hear those who seek Him?”
Nandi remained still.
“Does He not answer those who call?”
Only the breeze stirred the leaves.
The Wanderer remembered the mountains he had crossed, the sages he had questioned, their answers that had given birth to further questions.
Slowly, the questions ceased to demand answers.
Nandi had not moved.
The silence was no longer empty—
something within the Wanderer had discovered what no answer could reveal.
